George Williams set up Advanced Portable Roadway Ltd. in 2005 to build on his 20 years of experience in the roadway industry. George recognised the need for a new portable roadway system designed specifically for the events and TV / film industries.

The specs George gave himself were challenging ones:

Working with an expert team of UK designers the product took shape. Grooves were added for extra grip, a unique overlapping lock system for seamless joins and recessed bolts for additional safety and strength.
